Introduction: Need help writing a personal statement or a college essay? I will help you write with better active voice, structure, and style. I write professionally, have teaching experience, and a Masters of Arts from the University of Texas.
I will help you highlight your strengths better, show not tell, and communicate how YOU are an addition to the program you are applying to.
The Process:
My first look at your personal statements or essays is fresh, just like the admissions process. You get one shot. So I read your writing out-loud to you. This allows you to process how your writing sounds to someone who isn't familiar with you. From there, we refine the essay with anecdotal experiences, active voice, and strong conclusions that highlight how you will be a contribution to the university they are applying to.
Timeline and Pricing:
I charge $60/hour with a minimum of three sessions. Each session is an additional $50. The best essays are written over the course of a few weeks.
I do zoom or in person in the Washington, DC area.
