Tony was great at first, came hung Christmas lights as planned. Did a good job. I paid him $500 but that was to remove the lights also. Well, he did the work. I was only going to pay him 1/2 the price first and the other half when he took them off. Well, he never came to take them off today. This was the date planned on, and there was no communication whatsoever from him. I am a lady of 66 and had a broken back, healed now, but climbing on 10 ft ladders is not what I should be doing, but I had to, because he did not hold up on his end of the bargain.
He was fine, until I let him fix two gate latches for me, and fix a few boards on my gate. Then he charged me $730. for entire project, and that was all that was done. I even gave him an old lawnmower so he could mow lawns , because he said he could not mow lawns on the side. He charged me $30 for fuel just to come here from Kingsville, and from what he said, he had lots of jobs here in Corpus Christi, so I did not know that he was coming here especially for me. Still $30. He gave me some outrageous prices for one other job, and I think it is purely because I paid him such a good price to hang those Christmas lights. He thought he would just take advantage of an old lady. Well, he won't do it anymore, because I will never hire him again. I am glad he has so many other jobs here locally, because his work here is done.

Good Evening Donna , I am sorry you feel that way about my business and the work I have done for you . However I have the text messages here from Monday, (12/30/24), where I in fact did reach out to communicate about the removal of your Christmas Lights. I also communicated that installation and removal were both included in the bid (of which I originally bided $400 and you offered to pay $500) you had expressed your concern that you were unsure if removal was apart of what you paid & I never received a response from you of if today was still a good day for me to go remove them for you & I am still waiting on a response from you as of today.
Also the Gate Latch Job which you are speaking of was more detailed than you think , i replaced two gate latches , fixed someones previous work that hung gate latches and hinges incorrectly , you had me re-do all pickets to straighten them , i closed a gap from the neighbors fence to yours , straightened 3 2x4s for the bracing of the fence & also all of this includes the quality of my work and amount of experience i have which is why i get my jobs done in a timely matter . As well as my employee . Also fuel in a work truck does add up as I am traveling outside of my area at times (to and from) and you were the only job i had that day.
I am grateful for the lawnmower you gave me however I never once asked for it to be given to me as i dont do yard maintenance, i do landscaping and i will gladly return it to you if you’d like.
All of my other customers can vouge for me that I am a very genuine person and never have intentions to get over on anyone and do very quality work .
