- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
My normal rate is $90 to show up, which covers the first hour, and $80 per hour after. This app does not allow me to set my pricing this way (that I have found) so if I’m not booked through my regular channels, you’re getting a deal!
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Show up on time and charge a fair price. After that, go above and beyond. If a customer wants me to clean a toilet, they’re going to be left with the cleanest toilet they’ve ever had.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
My father was a Fighting Sea Bee (C.B./Construction Battalion) in the Navy during the Viet Nam conflict. He had us swinging hammers and using hand tools from the time me, my brothers and sister could walk. I worked construction jobs all through my teen years and have always done handyman services on the side throughout my career in law enforcement and the Navy.
