FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I like to cater to my client's needs. I deliver high quality work, the best service and competitive pricing. I think my client does not want to pay a low price for a product they will not like. It is important to calibrate everything. A $400 photo shoot that is not what the client wanted is more expensive than a $4,000 photo shoot that delivered everything the client was looking for. In the long run it becomes a family heirloom and the better the delivery, the more it will have meaning in later years. When a loved one passes and you have no portraits it is sad. I have worked with small images of loved once passed that were in the background. As much as I am able to bring out the image, it is not as good as a beautiful portrait taken when your loved one was alive. Price is relative to the need of my clients. That is why I cater every price to my client's needs in the areas of "Quality", Service and importance of the artwork.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Yes. I am constantly researching all of the new camera and lens equipment, capabilities and new features. I am constantly studying and improving my Photoshop skills to maintain a high level of confidence when I am performing live photo shoots at events where it is required that I enhance images as folks look in. It is important to know the latest techniques.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
Becoming a photographer was natural to me because I have been around fashion all my life. Photography is like drinking water to me. It just comes natural. Digital art just adds to the craft. I am very particular about my colors, shadows, angles, moments, looks, etc. I have to feel the spirit of my subjects/models and pull their personality into my images. True portraits portray the personality and x-factor of each individual. How true your portraits display these attributes determines my ability to call myself a photographer and digital aritist.
