Introduction: I am a life-long animal lover who is extremely passionate about my work and the wonderful business I have created! My love for animals started as a kid and my journey working with and caring for animals started in 2006. My wish of being able to work with animals had finally come true as a door opened for me in the veterinary field working with animals that were diagnosed with cancer. I have worked at many veterinary hospitals as a receptionist and assisted veterinarians, technicians, and kennel staff as needed. In 2008, clients were asking if I’d be willing to take care of their animals when they went out of town as they couldn’t bear the thought of kenneling them. I completely understood where they were coming from as I didn’t kennel my pets either! I was honored and touched to be given this opportunity, to be able to provide peace of mind for these clients that loved their fur babies so much. Word spread, and before I knew it, I was being asked to care for other families as well. Strictly word of mouth, no advertising, I had myself a part time business of what I call a “dream come true.” I continued to work in the veterinary field while running my business up until December of 2018. I made the decision to step away from the veterinary field to dedicate 100% of myself to my business and all the wonderful families that have continued to call upon me when needing pet sitting care for their fur babies.

I am so happy to have found Emily for my pet sitting needs! She genuinely cares for and enjoys animals. She has 10+ years experience working as a professional pet sitter and for a veterinarian. She is someone I trust to come into my home. She stayed an hour each visit and went beyond just feeding and basic care. She played with them, brushed them, sat and petted them and exceeded my expectations. She even swept my garage floor (where the litter boxes are located), to prevent litter tracking, watered house plants and did a walk through each visit just to check for any unexpected home issues like leaks, etc. Emily is trustworthy, professional, and a great person!

I just moved to Texas and found out I had to leave town for work. I have only ever left my pups with friends, however this time it wasn’t an option since I arrived a week before the work trip and knew no one. Emily came over to meet my pups and they instantly liked her. That was a great sign, dogs know if someone has bad energy. Emily provided a list of references. I contacted four of her clients from the list. They all could not say enough good things about Emily. She came for a visit one more time prior to the trip and the pups again, loved her. I am happy to say that my pups were taken very good care of and so was my home. Emily sent photos and updates throughout my trip. This was a wonderful bonus and made this mama feel much better. I highly recommend Emily and will absolutely use her again in the future. Thank you Emily!!!

Emily took care of our 3 cats during our Christmas vacation, and if she is booked up next time we need a pet sitter, I will seriously reschedule the trip. She was THAT good! She did more than I would have expected at each and every visit, and made a point to bond with all three cats, who all have very different personalities and social needs. Emily is very professional and takes the responsibility of caring for your pets VERY seriously: details like checking that the key I gave her worked, assuring us she would continue to care for them if our flight was delayed (we came close to needing that; the day we left Oregon there was a winter storm that cancelled a lot of flights!) I’m thinking of asking her to be our cats’ godmother. Hire Sweet Souls Pet Care; you will be thrilled with the high level of service and attention to detail.

i was so fortunate to find Emily. If you need a pet sitter I highly recommend her. She cared for my koi fish pond for 2 weeks. She feed and added water when needed and the water conditioner as needed. Checked on the filter to make sure it was functioning correctly. She also cleaned my bird bath, watered flowers and brought in my mail which was over and beyond what I hired her for. I felt confident of her taking care of my koi. Every visit she sent pictures via email of my fish and bird bath. I will hire her again.

What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
**Free initial Meet and Greet-No Obligation: At this initial meeting, I will come to your home and do a free meet and greet. A meet and greet typically is anywhere from 30 min to 1 hour. At this time, we will discuss your pets’ needs, specific instructions, tour your home, pick up door key and get instructions for access to your home, and answer any questions you have. After this meeting you are free to travel worry free. **Key Policy: I will pick up your key during our initial free meet and greet. Most clients like to keep their key on file where it is kept in a safety lock box. This enables me to make an emergency visit(s), short notice visit(s), and accommodate your future service reservations. If you prefer that I return your key, there is an additional charge of $10.00 to cover the gas and my time. Please note if access to your home is via garage code, garage opener, keyless door entry, etc. a key will need to be provided as a back up in case of malfunctions. After the initial meet and greet, if I do not have your key on file, there will be a charge of $10.00 to pick up your key as well. I'm here for the comfort and happiness of you and your pets.
