- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I have always believed in "Keeping it Simple"! I do have base rates for all of my sessions and events! Usually I customize rates & packages based on the individual & the event! It took me awhile to realize the value of my work & time! With that said I still try to give clients the opportunity to have a one of a kind & professional session without having to skimp on the "quality or details"! I have learned that you can still be affordable without settling for less than the artist or the client deserves! While it is all about the "art & client happiness"! it is still a career and like any other profession you have to make a profit! I just believe in making that profit without over charging the client.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have not taken any classes in a very long time! I choose to read and to learn from my photographer friends! It just makes it more personal to me I feel like for the most part the classes are an excellent way to learn but it tends to teach you to "color in between the lines"! and in my experience the best work comes from daring to "color outside the lines now and then"........ ~Kris D.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
I decided to get into this field because I have always been drawn to creativity for my outlet for any stress or just it was fun! I was shooting for awhile as a hobby until I had several people tell me that I should do this professionally! I took their word for it and here I am!!!!!
