While washing the side of my house, it came to my attention that I had a decent size crack in the wood siding of my home near my window, which was now wet. With the fear of getting mold on my home, I reached out to Lamar Home Solutions here on Thumbtack and J Cruz Castillo responded to me within minutes! He was able to come over to take a look and give me a quote within a couple hours, and said he could start tomorrow! I was relieved. J was extremely knowledgeable and affordable in external home repairs. He explained what had to be done clearly, and why this situation was there in the first place. He did an incredible job repairing my siding and making sure it was mold free and that this wouldn’t happen again. Highly recommend! Photos are a before and after.

I needed work done on several sections of our wood fence that had damage from falling trees and large limbs during the recent ice storm. Cruz responded to my request immediately and was able to meet and discuss options to fix everything. We agreed on a price that was very reasonable and scheduled the work. Cruz and his crew arrived exactly as expected, took care of all repairs on the fence, and had everything cleaned up and hauled away with no problems. While they were here, I also pointed out some Hardie Board siding on the exterior of the chimney that had been chewed away by the squirrels that needed replacement. Cruz was able to fix that quickly for me too. I would definitely look to him for future work and recommend him to others. Very professional, prompt, and job well done.

Cruz was very, very prompt and very responsive. He got the work done very quickly. I didn’t like having to pay a 50% deposit, but because we worked through thumbtack I felt that I had some protection from being swindled. My concerns were not relevant, though, because he was very honest and responsible. I paid him promptly upon completion even though there were a couple of quality concerns that I wanted them to improve. After being fully paid they were back at it on the next day (Saturday morning) making the needed repairs. My review is not based on highly detailed work. My job was not a real high-end job, just repair work on an old house, but he took the work very seriously and I think I would hire them for high end work in the future.

Where do I start? I had spoken with another tree company last week he came and gave me an estimate it was set up between eight and nine this morning. I had been up since 6:30 this morning waiting on the tree person to come. Needless to say the hours went by no one called. No one showed up so I contacted Cruz this morning around between 11 maybe 12 this afternoon he called me right back within five minutes said he could come out this afternoon and take a look at what I need done with my tree in the backyard. He came out and we set it up for Saturday in the morning. He called me back later on and said if I would like to get it done today and I said yes he came out. I showed him what I needed done did a fantastic awesome amazing job. No problems at all. Good customer service couldn’t ask for a better service. Thank you so much will definitely use Lamar homes again.
