FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Generally, I will give you a price for the work that needs to be done and then I will add taxes to it. That price will not change whatsoever. If it ends up being way more work than originally priced, then I will just have to deal with it. I will always finish the job even if it ends up costing me money. If you are referred to me by a friend who has hired me before for work, then they will get 10% off their next quote and the customer will get 5% off. Senior citizens will get 10% off every quote.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Firstly, I will contact the customer and see if they are able to meet at the site where the work needs to be done. If they can’t meet, usually they can give me the address and explain to me which trees they want taken care of and I can take it from there. Sometimes I can give an estimate through pictures as well. If the customer is able to meet, I will go through and explain to him the process that we would be doing to properly trim or remove or treat the trees and/or shrubs. I will also assess the rest of the property and give any advice I may have to take care of the other trees and shrubs. Then I would give the estimate and let them know when we would be back if they decide to hire us.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I am a certified arborist and a plant health care technician. In college I majored in mathematics with a minor in arboriculture. I’ve also taken climbing lessons and even joined a couple climbing tournaments.
