Whoa, damn. Our exhaust fan started making crazy noise; it was impossible to even remain in the kitchen - that's how loud the damn thing was. I called a couple of places, and they both quoted around $1700, and both said it's better to replace the entire unit - the whole microwave. I was skeptical because I couldn't believe there was a problem with the microwave - the sound felt like it was coming from above it.Turns out, they were right, the fan is in the microwave. Turns out I was right not to trust them anyway. It didn't have to be completely replaced. Andrew stopped by, took a picture of the serial number, and left. He also spent an hour running diagnostics on our dishwasher. Turns out it was fine, and nothing was wrong with it, I'm just stupid and didn't know about the "extra-dry" feature. He refused to take any money, because: "I didn't fix anything today," he said.He came back a few days later, took down the unit, cleaned all the grease, and replaced the fan. He spent two hours, and most of it was to ensure the seal was tight. All that cost me $300. That's all. He actually told me it was $200, but I insisted on another hundred. He saved me at least $1300 right there - I just couldn't in good conscience not tip him generously.I wish there were more technicians like him; these days you can hardly trust anyone to repair just about anything. It's like you get a shoelace torn, take it to a cobbler, and he goes like: "That'll be $2000" Ridiculous.

Optima Appliance Repair and its owner, Andrii, are true professionals! I contacted them when my washing machine broke down, and by the very next day, my five-year-old GE was up and running again.Andrii carefully diagnosed the problem, identified the actual cause, and replaced the faulty part. Thanks to him, I didnt have to spend time and money shopping for a new washer, arranging delivery, and having it installed. The repair saved me time, money, and a great deal of stress, and the price was very reasonable.Andrii is knowledgeable, courteous, and careful in his work. I had a great experience with the refrigerator repair. The technician was not only very knowledgeable and professional, but also incredibly careful, attentive, and respectful of my home. He took the time to do everything properly and made sure everything was working perfectly. He even took the time to say hello to my dog, which was such a nice touch! He also had a great sense of humor, which made the whole experience even better. Wed be happy to see him again, but hopefully nothing breaks anytime soon! Highly recommend!

Andrii was fantastic! He diagnosed the issue with our refrigerator quickly and accurately, and explained everything clearly so we knew exactly what was going on.
