- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
My price includes any pre event consultations, fees to acquire special music, and the performance time. It does not include mics, lighting, etc. Unless otherwise noted. I do offer a referral bonus when someone books and holds a party. Gas and accommodation maybe extra for events further than 2 hours. I charge a $50 booking fee that's non-refundable but is deductible from the total cost. The deposit is 50% a month before the date of the event. Remainder is due before setup begins. If the event is scheduled less than a month out, we will discuss payment arrangements.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
I've always loved music. I grew up in a household we're music was always playing and was a way to relax and enjoy ourselves. As I got older I loved being at parties and around people listening to and dancing to music. With my fast knowledge of music and the ability to keep a crowd going he idea of DJing came naturally. After discussing it with my business partner we thought the area could use a new face for DJs, women. We thought this would provide an advantage we began promoting our skills as 2 women who could bring the party as well as any man... And the rest is history.
- What types of customers have you worked with?
I have worked with people of all ages groups. I've done graduations, children parties, wedding receptions, baby showers, and religious gatherings. I've done multiple parties that include acts and performances and work with customers for a smooth show. When it's time to dance I have no problem getting on the floor and showing off a few moves of my own or that line dance that you just can't remember.
