I can honestly say that Lori has been the best English teacher I have ever had so far. She is very nice and extremely competent, when it comes to her skills as a teacher. She explains everything very well in detail and gives several examples so it is easier to understand the lesson. She adapts her class to my needs when I ask her to emphazise something or review a past class. Lori provides me with great exercises to practice the lesson. She is very kind and easygoing, and when we talk, I enjoy very much our conversations. I recommend her 100%!

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
We charge $75 per hour and recommend a 60-minute online lesson once or twice a week for English as a Second Lanugage and $125 per hour for Reading Spicialist and recommend two 30 minute lessons a week.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
My process always starts with a conversation. Before any agreement, I like to meet with the student to understand why improving their English is important and what goals they want to reach.
This first meeting is also a chance for you to get a feel for my teaching style and see if it is a good fit. Choosing the right ESL tutor or English tutor is important, and I want you to feel comfortable and confident moving forward.
From there, we create a plan with personalized English lessons and ESL tutoring based on your needs. This may include English conversation practice, business English, pronunciation, or everyday communication in the U.S.
Learning English is not just about studying. It is about building a relationship so we can have meaningful conversations, explore real-life situations, and help you grow your confidence over time.
My goal is to create a supportive space where you feel comfortable practicing, asking questions, and making real progress in your English.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I finished my TESOL Certificate in January of 2018. My background is in Engineering so I have a different English background than a Linguist.
