Where do I start... I'm not sure if Daina paid the other people to give her an amazing review but that wasn't our experience... Daina was terrible. We had rented a property from her for only 6 months as our new home was still being built. We paid an unreasonable amount extra NON REFUNDABLE pet deposit and monthly rent fee which was ridiculous but we had no other choice. Our experience with Daina was she always extremely short and snippy to us. Daina told us from the beginning that she was "fair" and "would allow you to fix anything to get your full deposit back". Well that was a lie. We got the house rental which was a disaster (scratches ALL over the wood floors, stains on the carpets in some areas, dead bugs EVERYWHERE, cabinets chipped and scratched, PANTRY WAS DISGUSTING, etc.). and when we moved out, we hired professional cleaners who made the house "10x better"-as said by Daina. During our 6 month stay, we asked Daina and requested repairs that should've been done prior to us moving in, which she didn't respond for weeks and weeks. We attempted to call and text her numerous times over those weeks, without a response. When she finally picked up, she said "yeah I saw your texts but didnt respond." How unprofessional and rude to admit that.Lastly, when we moved out, she charged us for a replacement AC filter (Didnt allow us to replace) and an HVAC Cleaning fee (which isn't done for 3-5 years not 6 MONTHS ) for $165 of our deposit. It seemed that Daina knew we had the house spotless but still was greedy and wanted to find a way to make extra money. If I were you, I would NOT use Daina unless you like to be treated with disrespect and have your money taken without real reason.I hope her broker and boss will see this and see how poor her customer service really is..-As my point was made by the response by Homeward Property Management. There was no issues with the pet deposit and I understand it very well. Also, In 6 months there was nothing to clear in the system or prevent further issues with the HVAC system when we rarely used the AC or heater. We also were never provided receipts of the HVAC system actually being cleaned included in our deposit returned showing what repairs were done. Yall are taking advantage of your tenants and not allowing them to make repairs as promised by Daina prior to receiving their deposit back.It shows the MAJOR lack of communication to her tenants, admitting to not responding when we rarely asked anything of her, trying to justify why I was charged something that is not done for several years. The lease agreement didnt specify how often nor was that explained by daina. Hopefully this is explained to other tenants so they dont have to go through a terrible experience with Homeward Property Management.

We apologize for any inconvenience or dissatisfaction you may have encountered during your tenancy. We understand the importance of providing excellent customer service and ensuring a positive renting experience, and we take your concerns seriously. As you know, It is our standard practice to conduct a thorough inspection of the property upon move-out and assess any necessary cleaning or repairs. No charges were applied for interior cleaning, we acknowledge that this aspect was handled appropriately. We apologize if the terms of the lease were not adequately explained to you by your agent representative regarding non refundable pet payments.
Regarding the charges for the AC filter replacement and HVAC cleaning fee, we understand your frustration. It is important to note that regular maintenance, including monthly air filter changes are included as part of our tenant's responsibility in your lease and is necessary to ensure the proper functioning of the systems and to maintain a healthy living environment. The air filter we placed in the property prior to your move in was dated with the month and year it was replaced and it was not changed during the time you occupied the property as it was still in place upon our inspection, which required us to do a cleaning and clear the drain on the unit to prevent any further issues.
We value your feedback and will take your comments into consideration as we strive to improve our services. We assure you that we do not engage in any practices to manipulate or pay for reviews. Our aim is to provide a positive experience for all our tenants. We appreciate your feedback.

Not the worst experience renting a home, but they need some work for sure. When we first moved into the home in November we were told the dishwasher didnt work and they were going to have it replaced by the time we moved in, but it ended up getting pushed (multiple times) and didnt happen until after about a month. Also, the house we rented uses gas for the heater but when we called to get it turned on they said they could not because there was a leak or signs of a leak in the gas line. Daina took a few days to get the gas on, but we were in the cold without hot water or heat for the three or four days it took, and we ended up having to call and do a lot of the leg work to get it working. They also gave zero help with getting a pool key, which was part of the rental agreement. We wouldnt have had access to the pool if we didnt have to write the homeowner themselves which Im sure didnt make them very happy since they are using this property manager. These are all understandable but would have appreciated the issues have been resolved when we moved it. It wouldnt have been difficult to check out the house or make it move in ready for the tenants, or at least be apologetic. Through our year we took care of most things and they responded after a while when we asked, but the urgency to help wasnt there. At the end when we were moving out there was not check out list and no guidelines for leaving. We wrote to find out and they only said to be out by the 1st. So we cleaned very well, patched and painted and made the house look great. While we waited for our security deposit back Daina basically ignored our questions and was short when we did get an answer. They were a little too charge friendly when it came to closing out as well. There was no explanation for why the charged for particular items were so high and we were charged for cleaning up pet droppings, even though they had left a fence broken and damaged throughout our entire stay so that the neighbors dogs and cats could come into our yard. They also charged us for replacing the air filter, which we had done recently and was not stated anywhere that we needed to add a brand new one upon leaving. I tried reaching out to talk about the charged but have had no luck getting ahold of anyone and will end up just leaving it along because of the extra hassleOverall I think they dont really care much for the tenants. Seem to do the bare minimum and when you are done or moving out there stop all communication. The home was nice, but would probably steer clear, if possible, of Homeward Property Management if its an option. Or at least know what to expect.

I have done make ready cleans for Homeward Property Management for the last couple of years and have been so impressed with the care and attention to detail that goes into presenting a home. For the sake of the owners and the tenants to have the best experience!Daina has always taken repairs I have brought to her attention and promptly solved them in conjunction with the owners.I have also seen how Johnna pays such great attention to detail in her pre move in inspection, taking pictures and documenting and communicating details!I have always enjoyed working with them and they have brought me a great amount of business and referrals! The homes they put on the market are exceptional! Would definitely recommend if you take pride in your home even if its just for short term!
