I love meeting new clients and capturing their event the most. The most satisfying feeling is seeing their reactions to the finished product and knowing they are beyond happy with the result. Knowing they're going to look back on the photographs and keep them for the rest of their lives amazes me.

I had a wonderful experience shooting with Rissa! She made everything fun, focused on my comfort and personalized the entire shoot according to my needs. Great photographer, I had a blast and my pictures came out wonderfully. I would highly recommend Charming Lenses photography! Five stars for sure!

I had a great experience with Rissa! She was very patient with my uncooperative pup! I wasn't really sure what I wanted but she had done her homework and had plenty of ideas for cute pet/owner photos. I can't wait to have another shoot!

Hired on Thumbtack

Rissa was quick to respond to my initial request on Thumbtack for a family photographer in my price range. She was friendly and seemed excited to take our photos. Unfortunately, when I e-mailed her a month later to confirm, she responded that she wouldn't be able to take my pictures that weekend due to personal reasons. I immediately e-mailed her back to see if this was a permanent situation, or if we could reschedule for another weekend. The holidays were getting closer and I was trying to get these photos done in time to be sent out with Christmas cards. She finally got back to me almost a week later and said that she was indeed still taking photos and could reschedule, but by that point I had already booked another photographer. It was a little frustrating. I see she has some great reviews, but I can't speak for the quality of her work as we never got that far.

Hi Hillary, I do apologize for the cancellation on my part. As you stated, I was dealing with some personal problems that had come up and I was out of town. I was unable to check my email while I was away. I do apologize for the wait in my response. I do hope you were able to get your Holiday cards made and I hope we can work together in the future!

She has very good ideas on ways to pose, different types of pictures you might not have thought about. Very good use of the lighting. Very energetic and a fun photographer. I loved my photos I did with my boyfriend and son. They turned out so well. Definitely using her again.

    The one thing I ask some clients to remember, whether hiring me or not, is that you are investing in these photos. This investment also includes someone taking time out of their day to take these images. This could also mean part of that investment goes into upgrading equipment, travel costs, editing time, etc.

  • What types of customers have you worked with?

    Senior photos, engagement portraits, newborn and baby.

  • What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project?

    That I'm very flexible, understanding, and want to make everyone happy!
