About

Have you always wanted to learn to quilt or sew garments? Well, this is the place, and I'm your teacher. I have a small shop located in the Texas Hill Country, in the quaint town of Wimberley, where we sit and sew or quilt while we listen to the "oldies" on the radio. Classes are small, and age has no limit, as long as you're at least 8 years old. That's right; I teach children too. My classes are very "hands-on". That means you actually make your quilt or garment as I instruct you. I don't believe in standing in front of a class, yacking away, hoping you're listening, and then send you on your way to make your project. No way! I'm right there guiding you all the way and guiding you through your "challenges" (we don't make mistakes in my class; we just have challenges). I'm very flexible as far as class schedule. If you can't take a class when I have it scheduled, just tell me when you can, and I'll set up a class just for you. Students work at their own pace. Pay for a project, work on your project, finish your project (even if it's months long), pay for another project, and so on. I have a degree in home economics and have been sewing for over 58 years (since I was 3) and quilting for 15 years. So, come on down, and let's have fun!

About

I am a meticulous seamstress & craftswoman with a good sense of color and design and many years experience working with textiles. I have plenty of fabric and supplies for mending which saves the customer a trip to the store. I like to find ingenius ways to patch, mend or update those favorite clothes that need a little TLC. In the realm of plants I am aware of their different needs and how to groom and clean them using solely organic methods, fertilizers and insect control. I have been gardening for many years and have worked in both exterior and interior settings.
