FAQs
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I voluntarily attend more than twice the required 15 hours of continuing education yearly and belong to the College of the State Bar of Texas, which requires 30 hours per year. After you have been a member of the College for 10 years, you become a Fellow. I have been a Fellow since 2010.
- What types of customers have you worked with?
I most frequently do initial divorces for clients. My next most common service that I provide is modifications of divorce decrees or of any final family law matter such as paternity. I also represent nurses before the Texas Board of Nursing.
- What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
Make sure that family law is the only area of law or one of only two that the attorney does. A person can not be an expert in everything. Check with the Texas Bar Association to make sure that the attorney has acurrent license and is in good standing.
