I am a retired PGA Golf ProfessionaI. The last 15 years of my career were dedicated to golf instruction. I worked at Golf Galaxy, Joe Caruso's / Dead Solid Perfect Golf Center and "THE GOLF ACADEMY" at TPC San Antonio. I specialize in private instructions for golfers of all abilities, men and women. I have a strong belief in the fundamentals of the golf swing and I have unique ability to adapt if you require special training. I played competitive golf at a high level and that experience has carried over to my ability as an instructor. Especially the mental approach. The most rewarding aspect of my job is the satisfaction I get from a customer who has experienced a positive improvement in their game. It is not always easy; but, it can happen with hard work and practice. My base rate is $90 for 45-55 minutes. Most lesson will include the use of V-1 video analysis. A series of 3 lesson is discounted to $250.00, paid in advance. Lessons must be used within 90 days or they will expire.

Wayne at TPC is an outstanding instructor. I highly recommend chosing him for any level of player. I have been away from the game for about 10 years so the swing fundamentals needed a few significant tweaks. My 2 hour session was very helpful and fun. Wayne is a naturally gifted instructor who also knows golf. I was expecting drills, tips and strategy for improvement based on my experience with a few other instructors back in the day. Wayne is way better than the average expert golfer who offers instruction. Wayne started by getting to know my swing and providing simple explanation of terminology WE would use on MY golf swing, stance and execution. It was the perfect balance of give and take; fun and learning. In the middle of the lesson he integrated video of my swing that allowed us to agree on what needed work for the remainder of the lesson. This was a basic rebuild of my swing which showed huge improvement. He gave me tips on how to work on my own to continue the improvement. I was confident that I could get better by just taking what he gave me. A few days later I was on the range and able to hit straighter longer shots consistently. For your first lesson, I suggest you set up a two hour session to get an honest take on what he can do with your game. I will be going back to Wayne for more. The package deals he offers are outstanding: a supreme value. Wayne is also great with juniora. I have a son that wants to get into golf and Wayne offered to split up a few sessions to allow him 30 minutes of instruction as part of the package. Give Wayne a call or message him on thumbtack.

It has been one of the greatest decisions for my golf game to take lessons with Wayne. I went from slicing the ball every single time to right down the middle in just 2 lessons. Highly recommend Wayne for any skill level. His experience paired with some of the most advanced golf analyzing technology makes him a one of a kind instructor.

My 10yr old son has been taking lessons from Coach Wayne for the past few years. Coach Wayne is extremely patient with his students and has really taught my son a lot about golf. We always see a big improvement after a lesson with Coach Wayne! Thank you Coach Wayne for all your support with Caleb!!

We are new to Texas and our elementary daughters were looking to try a new sport, golf. Wayne Mitchell couldn't have been a better instructor to work with. He took his time to not only explain and show them the fundamentals of golf, the equipment, and the need for practice, but he also took time to go over what they were learning with us as parents (who aren't golfers) so we could be involved too. We loved his detailed videos of lessons they took, which break down their form, etc. They would review it after the lesson and practice outside on their own time. He provides fun, caring, and educational lessons. He was also very flexible if our schedule had to change. Both our girls ended up getting their first set of clubs, love practicing, and look forward to another camp or lesson with Wayne.
