Introduction: I've been teaching since 2012 and Rock and Heavy Metal music are my specialty. I enjoy teaching acoustic players as well! I hold my Associate of Arts in Music degree and have honed my technique with experts Rusty Cooley, Ron Jarzombek and Teemu Mäntysaari. You can trust that my guidance will help you learn faster by avoiding bad habits and mistakes. I'll customise your lessons to what you want to accomplish. What are your goals and what have you been wanting to learn? Where did you get stuck? Together we can work on technique, chords, scales, your favourite songs, songwriting, improvisation, music theory, and more! I enjoy bringing out the inner artist, performer, and rock star in my students. I enjoy giving them the direction they need and then watching what they do with it.

I have two boys and Austin has taught them both at their school and out of our home for three years. Austin is an amazing teacher. My kids love him. He's super cool and super nice and great with kids. He teaches one son electric guitar and teaches the other a little guitar and a lot of voice and singing. He helps them perform solo performances at their school twice a year and comes to their performances and helps them. When they have a lesson at school my kids feel like the coolest kids around because their teacher is young and fun. All the kids at school gather around to watch and give my boys "thumbs up" signs. Austin sends them recordings to practice and emails them messages and notes about what to work on. Many times he will stay late in the lesson working with the kids or jamming with them. He even showed up at my 9 year old's birthday party and "jammed" for the kids. They LOVED it. BEST MUSIC TEACHER EVER.
