Wedding and Event Videography
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Pricing varies greatly for our services depending on a few key factors: 1. How long is the shoot? We typically bill for half day or full day shoots because of the complexity involved with transporting and setting up complicated film gear. 2. What is your desired production value? For any given project, we could shoot with 1 videographer doing lights, camera, sound (the cheaper option), or a crew of 3+ people splitting up the results. On bigger shoots it allows for everyone to focus on one job and create a fantastic result, but it costs more. 3. How quickly do you need the video produced? Last minute projects cause us to shuffle things around, possibly work on evenings and weekends that take us away from our families - so naturally we charge more for that. 4. Hourly vs. Project based billing. Generally, we bill on a per project basis which allows our clients to budget for the cost and eliminates a lot of surprises. However, some clients we work with on a retainer and hourly basis the provides them dedicated time each month.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Usually a phone call is best to start off, so we can fully understand the scope of the project and what the objectives that you are trying to accomplish with the video. We then will send over a detailed proposal with a budget quote and scope of services. Once agreed upon, we ask for a 25% deposit to book the project on our calendar. We get to work - producing awesome videos at affordable prices. Sometimes this means scripts, storyboards, and detailed planning - and sometimes it means showing up on time and capturing great content that is less predictable. Either way we guarantee you'll be happy with the results. If part of the scope, we will edit the project and allow for multiple rounds of revisions to make sure you are getting exactly what you need. Once everything is approved, we hand over the final video files and you pay us the remaining balance of the bill. Everyone is happy.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I started this company after years of experience doing corporate video work for a large company in San Antonio. I was responsible for hundreds of marketing videos while working for this company. Everything from customer testimonials, event marketing videos, to hr trainings and corporate events. Before that, I received my bachelor's degree from UT Austin in film production.
