HCS Techical Services has been servicing the IT needs of Water Storage Tanks Inc since 2008 and as the former president of WST I heartily recommend this company. Todd Gates is skilled and ethical as a service provider. In addition I always enjoy talking with him about computers, software, our families, etc when he comes on site to fix our problems. Todd continues to take care of my personal computers.

When the power supply unit (PSU) on my custom-built gaming PC failed without warning, I immediately suspected what the problem was but wanted confirmation that my motherboard and other systems were still operational.
HCS offered to diagnosis the problem with a quote of $15, which was ultimately waived. They quickly confirmed my suspicions that the PSU was dead but assured me that the motherboard was fine, so I requested that they install a new upgraded PSU, which I would provide to them at my own expense.
Unfortunately, due to a misunderstanding which I will acknowledge was my fault, I agreed to a service contract which charged me $99.99 per hour plus sales tax for the labor of swapping out the dead PSU for the new unit.
Initially I was charged for a whole hour of service though I am certain the task actually took more like 35 to 40 minutes to complete in the shop. When I complained about this they immediately agreed to reduce the fee by 1/2, which I will take as acknowledgement that the service should not have taken more than 30 minutes anyway. (There are DIY videos on YouTube showing people performing this task in around 15 minutes). Certainly had I known I was going to be charged $100 per hour, I would have brought a stopwatch!
When I questioned the $100 per hour rate, I was informed that they do not aim to be a low-cost provider for my area, which is no doubt true since another reputable shop in our area charges a flat $25 fee for this service regardless of how long it takes.
Their customer service is excellent, and they were very responsive to my inquires throughout the entire process. The fact that the actual service to my PC may have taken longer than usual notwithstanding, I believe the quality of their work is excellent and would trust them to fix another problem with my PC that I didn't feel comfortable doing myself.
