- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I require full upfront payments for the portrait. Once the painting itself is finished, I'll then send you another payment request for shipping once I get an estimate from UPS. After shipping is paid, I then mail your portrait heavily packaged and protected directly to the address you provide.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
First we will discuss what kind of idea they have for a portrait (style, action, poses, who is included, etc) and then we will discuss pricing. Once the portrait is fully paid for, I begin drawing a rough sketch of the painting to be approved or edited by the client. After approval, I begin the painting and give constant, almost daily, updates on the process. After your portrait is complete, I then let the paint set for 24 hours, varnish the portrait to seal and protect it, and then heavily wrap and package the painting for shipping. I'll then get an estimate for shipping costs and send a payment payment request to the client. The client pays the shipping costs and I then ship the fully paid off piece directly to the address the client has specified. I keep an eye on tracking the package until it arrives and the client confirms they have received the package.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I've been in art classes since I started kindergarten. I have an Associates Degree in Art and 2D Animation and I am quote skilled in matching styles of different media. I have painted many murals and portraits and look forward to painting more.
