My name is Jei (Jay) Pearcey. I am a Doctor of Cognitive Psychology with over 15 years of diverse experience. These experiences have given me insight into the multitude of factors that affect our health and wellbeing. Through years of honing this skills, I have become adept at helping clients move through:
- Understanding and healing from generational trauma, racial & others
- The impacts of stress and simple tools to alleviate it
- Using mind-body medicine techniques to control anxious thoughts
- Music and how it heals through emotional growth
- Spirituality and how our beliefs drive our behaviors
- Biofeedback techniques to help clients control their physiology
- Creating effective communication in our relationships and managing miscommunications
- Education on sleep hygiene, the role of vulnerability in overcoming emotions, and how to connect with yourself emotionally
I use these techniques to help clients form meaning in their lives that will have long-lasting, persisting effects. My diverse experience gives me perspective and ability that is unique. I pride myself on my work and love to create rich sessions in which my clients can become immersed and enjoy, while achieving their goals and enhancing their spirituality and connectedness.
--Hypnosis and Altered States of Consciousness--
I also use hypnosis as a tool to help people better connect their mind and body. I have specialized within my field of psychology in altered states of consciousness and mystical/spiritual experiences as tools to reduce stress and increase happiness. I've studied under David Reid and Eric Willmarth - two of the most prestigious hypnotists in the United States - over the last several years. Here I implement a variety of visualization and conscious/unconscious techniques to relax clients and provide them tools to reduce their own stress after hypnosis training sessions. I also work with behavioral transitions (becoming a better you) and reducing cravings for food, cigarettes, and other non-clinical behavioral changes.
--Spirituality and Connectedness with the Self--
I have a deep background in spirituality, finding spirituality, and developing connectedness with one spirituality. For this, I use guided meditation, sensory deprivation, and hypnosis to help my clients find the interconnectedness and universal peace with spirituality. I draw upon spirituality from Hinduism, Daoism, Buddhism, Christianity, and other religions, but can provide specificity if need be.
My goal is to be the best person I can be, foster growth and change in those that desire it, and make the world a better place - for everyone.
Stay safe. Stay healthy. Stay sane. In these insane times.
