Constantly training and studying their craft, our performers are hired on a very strict basis with regards to character, vocals, acting talent, experience with children, and authenticity. When you book a princess party with Feeling Fanciful, we let you decide which cast member you’d like to perform your princess party package! CONSTANT UPGRADES
We believe in quality over quantity and never simply “dress up and show up” to your event! Our high-end costuming and wigs are constantly being upgraded and maintained to perfection so that our characters are as believable as can be, and our performers are constantly training and refining their performances so as to provide authentic character portrayals and engaging services for you and your guests. For our CEO and lead performer Heidi Hood, playing dress up and entertaining everyone around her has been part of everyday life since she was born. As a child, she would play dress up in anything she could find. During elementary school through high school, she would write and perform skits for children's church and anyone who would watch. In college, she continued writing scripts and began seriously pursuing acting on stage while also directing children's musicals. It was in college that Heidi first began teaching music. After earning her B.A. in Vocal Performance and minor in Theatre from SAGU, she continued teaching her lifelong passions of music and acting from her own home studio in Waxahachie, Texas.
In January of 2016, after a break from the theatre, Heidi Hood was cast as Mary Poppins in Family Music Theatre’s production of the Disney Broadway show. Shortly after she was cast, her SAGU sweetheart of three years proposed to her, and they were married shortly after the show closed. During the production of Mary Poppins, Heidi met a fellow actress who introduced Heidi to the world of princess parties, where she completely fell in love with "professional princessing" and making magical memories for kids (from 1 to 92)!
It wasn't long before the "princessing world" that Heidi Hood didn't even know existed became both her passion and a dream come true - thus, Feeling Fanciful was born. Starting with a few costumes out of a guest bedroom closet in July of 2016, Heidi has worked tirelessly to bring fanciful characters we all know and love to our own backyards, providing the highest quality entertainment and authentic portrayals of fantasy for birthday parties, tea parties, libraries, hospitals, neighborhood events, and more! With a mission to make everyday dreams come true, Feeling Fanciful prides itself in making the world a brighter place.
