FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I am less expensive than most of my competitors because I don't have overhead costs. I own my own tools and vehicles. I don't have outstanding loans that need to be paid. Some services have fixed costs associated with them. Other projects I charge by the hour. If I charge an hourly rate there is a one hour minimum charge. After the first hour, I charge by the half hour. I add a $15.00 fuel fee, which is waived if I bill two hours or more of labor. I offer discounts to U.S. military, police, fire, and ems, personnel, and to their family who reside in the same home. Heroes with service related disabilities qualify for a 20% reduction on labor charges.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Gathering enough information to understand their needs and what they want to accomplish.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I started working in construction nearly 25 years ago while in high school where I was involved in the entire process of building a spec home (plot planning, excavation, foundation, framing, plumbing, electrical, roofing, etc.) From there I earned a college degree in construction management and worked on and off in the construction since then. About 15 years ago I purchased an old home and have been continuously repairing, upgrading, and remodeling the home to be safer, more efficient, and beautiful. For the most part I have done all of my own work.
