- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Sessions begin at $525 + tax. Final pricing depends on the location, travel, permits, and logistics involved in creating your session. Once we decide where we're going and what you have in mind, I'll provide clear pricing upfront so you know exactly what to expect. No surprise fees. Looking for something a little more adventurous? Hiking, side-by-side access, boating to a secluded location, ski lifts, and other destination experiences can all be incorporated into your session.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
It starts with a conversation. Tell me what you're celebrating, where you're coming from, and what you're imagining—even if all you know is, “I want somewhere amazing.” From there, I'll help with location ideas, timing, lighting, permits, logistics, and all the little details that make the experience work. Planning a surprise proposal? We'll plan it together while keeping everything discreet. I'll help you know where to go, when to arrive, where to stand, and what your cue is so you're not trying to figure everything out in the moment. And because adventures don't always follow the plan, we'll stay flexible. Weather changes? Crowds? Conditions aren't what we expected? We'll adjust when we need to. By the time your session arrives, your job is simply to be there and enjoy it. I'll take care of capturing the rest.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
My photography journey started with two things I've always loved: people and the outdoors. Over the years, that grew into Kristi Lyn Photography and a love for capturing the moments people never want to forget—especially surprise proposals, engagements, intimate weddings and elopements. Southern Utah is my backyard, and some of my favorite sessions have taken me from desert overlooks and mountain trails to secluded shorelines and incredible destinations throughout the Southwest. What I love most isn't simply taking the photograph. It's helping create an experience where people can relax, be themselves, and walk away with both incredible memories and photographs to remember them by.
