My daughter really struggles with math and I have hired several tutors. Maddy was the best of them all! She was so patient, taking time to explain the details of math concepts, and never got frustrated with my daughterʻs difficulties in grasping the concepts, which greatly eased my daughter’s anxiety. Maddy taught my daughter different tricks to remember math formulas and patterns in math to help her understand and remember how to solve problems. My daughter was impressed with how Maddy was able to come up with practice problems for her to solve to help her prepare for tests and future assignments and retain knowledge. Maddy knows her stuff, she’s an excellent communicator, she is so patient and kind. Maddy is an excellent tutor!

Madison was so patient and thorough while working with my son. My son gets very frustrated when he doesn't understand something but Madison was able to explain the problems in a way he understood and at his level of learning. She took the time to explain each step of the math problem and made sure my son understood the why behind each step before moving forward.

I offer a free consultation to get to know you or your child. I then charge $45/hr.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
During the consultation, we will discuss why you are looking to hire a tutor and I can answer any questions you have about working with me. I tutor students who are looking for regularly scheduled sessions. After each Zoom call, I email screenshots of the notes we worked on together.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have a BS in Mathematics Education from BYU. I am a licensed math teacher with 2+ years of experience in public schools, and 3 years of tutoring experience.
