About
I received my BFA in vocal performance in 2014 from Carnegie Mellon University, and completed my MM in vocal performance from the University of Utah in 2017. I am 32 years old and I have been singing professionally for 15 years. I have been teaching for over 10 years now and I love it! I am classically trained. In addition to opera and other classical music I have also performed in musicals, jazz ensembles, and in pop/contemporary styles. I focus on teaching a vocal technique that is healthy and reliable. I help my students to understand how their whole body functions as their instrument. In our lessons we will work to discover your authentic sound! I also offer lessons in music theory and learning to read music. I have seen my voice students go on to be accepted into competitive degree programs, high level choirs, win major competitions, and land roles in school and professional musicals.
No matter what your skill level or musical interest is, I know I can help you to reach your vocal potential. I offer lessons for all ages (ages 8+) with performance opportunities at least twice per year! My studio is located in Draper, Utah, and lessons are once per week. I look forward to working with you!

Kahli is awesome and helped me warm up my voice and hit my soprano with ease. I appreciate her extensive knowledge on vocal training. She also has you stretch at the beginning of the session, which is a great idea!

Kahli combines the rare qualities of someone who deeply understands and effectively employs their craft with the ability to teach that to another person, regardless of the recipient's experience. She does this all with gentleness and enthusiasm. Each lesson is engaging and expands what was taught in earlier lessons. Kahli is attentive and adapts to the needs of her students, while finding safe and effective ways to help them grow their voices in strength and beauty. Whether you are in the area or 100 miles away, Kahli is the best vocal coach for you, as she offers in-person and virtual training. Contact her today. You won't be disappointed. I know I wasn't!

I’ve been taking voice lessons from Kahli for a few years now and I love her! She, herself, is an amazingly talented singer and performer! I have terrible stage fright that has held me back for years but with Kahli’s help I feel like I’ve grown as a singer and I’ve grown in confidence. I’m making great progress in overcoming my fears of performing. Kahli is professional, incredibly knowledgeable, talented and full of encouragement!

I absolutely love being a student of Kahli’s. She’s knows just what to do to help me improve, and I have learned so much in the time she’s taught me. I’m also more confident singing in front of others thanks to her teaching.

FAQs
What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I charge $35 for 30 minute lessons, $50 for 45 minute lessons, and $65 for hour long lessons.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I love to start by talking about what kinds of music the student is interested in learning to sing. I want to understand what their goals are for their singing. A typical lesson consists of beginning with vocal warmups that help strengthen vocal technique, and then working on a song where we apply the techniques we have been focusing on.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
BFA in Vocal Performance- Carnegie Mellon University, 2014
MM in Vocal Performance- University of Utah, 2017
