Alex C. says, "TL;DR Josh is a landscaping wizard and I plan on recommending him to everyone I know. 10/10 would hired again. You should do the same. My partner and I were looking to xeriscape a majority of our yard while also maintaining some some green space for our dog. I reached out to Josh, and he was on-site within the week to get an overview of the project and our priorities. Within three days, he provided a quote with a visual description of his proposed design. We loved the concept and moved forward with his proposal after consulting with other landscaping firms. Josh provided us with a project timeline and prospective start date, and kept in regular contact before working on the project. Over the course of a week, Josh was on-site working. He provided clear information about where the project is progressing, asked for feedback from us frequently. What I appreciate most about Josh is his vision of a project. Early on in project, he proposed some changes to the initial design that fit the house's exterior aesthetic, which we loved and approved. Once changes were approved, he promptly provided changes in terms of project costs. Furthermore, He was always open to project expansion, like adding mulch and planting grasses in our front yard. During the project, Josh kept the site clean and organized, and mitigated any inconveniences for us and our neighbors. Josh is personable, creative and professional. He is passionate about his business and it shows in every aspect of the service he provides. We are very happy with the end result and are excited to finally have a backyard that isn't just an amalgamation of bare dirt and dead grass."See more

Stauffer custom contracting did a great job on our sod! They prepped the area, installed sprinklers, and laid the sod for a reasonable price! And we are so happy with the results! We also had a sprinkler that stopped working and they spent extra time fixing it which we really appreciated. They were also great at communicating and super nice! Would highly recommend.

Ruben and his team did a fantastic job on my backyard. Ruben helped me remove the sod, connect sprinklers with 100% coverage and install new sod. In addition, I utilized his services to clean, loosen soil and put weed fabric on all my flower beds. He went above and beyond to pick the plants for the beds and gave suggestions for watering. He even made sure all flower beds get proper water coverage. He is very knowledgeable and honest about his work. I will definitely utilize his services in future and will not hesitate to recommend him to friends/family.

I had to have my backyard completely torn out, leveled, and have sod installed. HGO went above and beyond by also trimming my trees and putting in a BEAUTIFUL rock path. The job was done very well and very quickly. I intend to hire them again in June to install a fence and rebuild my porch.

Alfonso and crew know exactly what they are doing and their work is meticulous. They showed up on time and took over a project that had been badly mismanaged by the previous contractor. They completed area prep, topsoil and sod install beautifully plus replaced two sprinkler valves and added sprinklers for lawn around the patio. It’s a big relief to have confidence in your landscape contractor.

Waterwise Landscaping was the second landscaper we hired after a horrible experience. Our yard was extremely overgrown with weeds as the previous owners did zero maintenance on the yard when we moved in. We hired the first landscaper who "weeded" everything but essentially they just weed whacked it all down not addressing any roots. When Waterwise Landscaping came out to give us an estimate, my biggest concern was if we were going to spend the money to install new grass I did not want to have to deal with weeds growing back. They assured us that they would till, treat, and add topsoil before they installed sod. After they began the work, I noticed they were not following through with the plan that had been discussed during the time of the estimate. They leveled everything but then threw sod on top, no topsoil, no treatment. Now we are here a little less than a year later and everything needs to be completely replaced. My biggest fear has come true and the weeds have grown through the grass. On top of this, the sod they installed turned muddy, and there are parts that you can still lift up, it never fully rooted. They did a great job with the sprinkler coverage and we were diligent about watering. After the work was completed knowing that they didn't treat I addressed this with the owner and he basically told me that there was "nothing they could do" about the weeds. They waited until the very end, took my money, and now I have to start from the very beginning. I'm so sad and disappointed. Don't waste your money.

I have 4 expectations when working with a contractor: (i) keep appointments in timely manner (show up when you say you are going to show up); (ii) timely delivery of proposals; (iii) fair treatment on pricing; (iv) and timely progress reports. Gallo Azul gets 5 STARS across each of those items as part of installing a new sprinkler system and laying sod at my home. I will do business again with Gallo Azul and would highly recommend this landscaper.

Macaulli was great to work with. After putting an addition at the back of our house we needed to put down new sod and also fix broken sprinklers. After paying a deposit, he gave me a realistic time line and then he stuck to it. He showed up when he promised and finished the job on time. He was very professional and detail oriented. He also moved back the metal planter which was not part of the original deal but I really appreciated it. I will definitely reach out to him again for more landscaping work. Highly recommended!!
