- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Additional fees ($170) to Taxes by Tara PC's base individual tax preparation fee are for each Schedule C (sole proprietor), Schedule E (rental property) and Schedule F (farm) prepared with your tax return. If you have significant crypto currency trades that are not summarized on a 1099 report, you will have an additional fee assessed ($120/hr) to summarize those transactions for you. DISCOUNTS If you have multiple tax years to file, please indicate what tax years you need to file and I will provide you with an updated/discounted tax prep fee. If you are happy with Taxes by Tara PC's services and one of your referred loved ones files a tax return with Taxes by Tara PC, your next tax return will be discounted as a thank you. The highest compliment you can give me for excellent service is referring your friends and family.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Taxes by Tara PC uses a secure client portal (TaxDome) to share sensitive tax documents with you. You will receive an invitation to activate your account so we can start on your tax return. Taxes by Tara PC requires your full (federal and state if applicable) prior year tax return and two forms of identification, one of which must be a drivers license (for taxpayer and spouse if applicable) for all new clients. Taxes by Tara PC is here to support and educate you in the tax decisions you make so please reach as you have any tax questions whether it is during tax season or at some other time. - - Here's the steps for your tax return: ACTIVATE - Activate your TaxDome account. CONTRACT - Read and sign your engagement letter. ORGANIZER - Update and submit your organizer with applicable answers and documents. COMMUNICATION - I may ask follow up questions or request additional documentation. Once your tax return is ready, I'll communicate the next steps to finalize your tax return. I'll respond to your inquiries or questions timely and completely, too. It is my forte! INVOICE - Pay your invoice to unlock and review your tax return. REVIEW - Before you sign the e-file authorization document(s), please review your tax return. SIGN - Authorize me to file your tax return by signing the e-file authorization document(s). ACCEPTANCE - After your tax return has been accepted, I will send you an email informing you of the good news. You can consider your tax return DONE AND DONE!
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have an Accounting Degree from Utah State University and a MBA Degree from Westminster College. I am a licensed CPA in the state of Utah. I participate in ongoing training to sharpen my skills as a tax professional. I keep current with changes to tax law so you can be confident you are in the best hands.
