About
My combination study of fine art, graphic design, and Photoshop has given me a unique ability to understand and visualize excellence in my work with each photo. I am Adobe Certified in Photoshop CS4.
You can email me a cell phone photo, and I will give an estimate based upon what the restoration may entail. If that meets your approval, scan the photo at least a 300 dpi and email it to me. I will then be able to do a closer review and adjust the price, if necessary. Once you approve of the firm price, I will begin the restoration.
I then provide you with a digital copy to put on your computer for reference and to make prints from at your convenience.
With clients I have met, I like seeing the smiles on their faces as they see their precious photos brought back to new life.

Melissa was patient and very easy to work with. She restored my father's old class photo from 1946, that had a few large cracks down the middle. Since the photo is a 'priceless' item, I would say that the ratio of value to service is high. I will definitely use her services the next time I need some restoration!

I highly recommend Melissa. Her attentiveness to detail, timeliness, and quality work was far above my expectations. She was able to restore an 1918 photo of WWI servicemen that had been rolled up for years and had many cracks and tears. Looks absolutely perfect. Thanks Melissa!

I have been using Melissa Worthens services for the past few months as Ive been having her restore a number of very old photos in black and white and sepia tones.
I am thrilled with the quality of the restored work and plan to use her services and more old photos are sent to me.
There was one family group photo taken in 1912 at a family picnic and its a treasured classic photo. The original was in sepia with some color added to the trees in the background which looked very fake. I asked Melissa if she would restore the photo then color it but it would need to look authentic. I think she researched the clothing of that era because the end result is excellent. She has done a wonderful job of colorizing the clothing to make it look very authentic for that era. It looks like it is a real colored photograph and it will be a treasure to our family. When I took the photo to have it printed up for enlarging and framing the printer commented on the excellent quality of the print and color. Also the framer commented on what a beautiful picture it is. I was delighted as the printed version is even better than it looks on the computer. I am very excited to see the finished work when it is finished at the framers next week.
I would recommend Melissa highly.
Thank you
Melissa
My sister Jan Molloy brought with her on her
latest trip to New Zealandthe photo you
restored for her.
That photo, almost exactly 100 years old,
included our great grandfather and great grandmother, whom none of us had never
met - with the sole exception of our 91 year old Mother.
It also included our very beloved
grandfather, whom we knew very well, albeit far too breifly, along with his
brothers and sisters.
It has enormous sentimental value for us, as
we treasure our heritage and legacy greatly.
We found the original tucked away in the
home of a somewhat difficult relative.
I had a small portable document scanner with
me and took the best image I could of what was a small black and white photo.
The photo was then whisked away and is in
all probability inaccessible to us for some time, perhaps forever.
So to see the miracle you had wrought from
such a poor platform was a stunning surprise.
It was the prize exhibit at our family
reunion a week or so back, when almost 100 descendants of the grand old man in
the photo gathered to celebrate family and Christmas.
And that beautifully framed copy now sits on
the wall in our darling Mothers home. I get a thrill every time I see it.
The quality of your craftwork is
outstanding.
I have no hesitation in recommending you to
any future clients.
Feel free to quote me in your advertising,
on your website, wherever.
Thank you from the very depths of our
hearts.

FAQs
What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
There is no standard pricing. A exact quote is impossible from a description only. An estimate may be given from a description with a firm quote given after seeing the photograph and the complexity of the request. Only upon approval of a firm quote does work begin.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I usually get a scanned copy of the photo emailed to me (or some have brought it to my home to scan). After looking it over, I confirm the price, which is impossible to give from a description only. Upon approval, I prepare a working draft copy to let the customer review it and give suggestions, if wanted. After the customer is satisfied with the restoration or editing, I finalize it and email it back for printing.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I studied Media Design Technology at Davis Applied Technology College and am also certified in Adobe PhotoShop CS4.
