FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I generally work at an hourly rate of $30. I will send out an estimate of how many hours I expect the project to take and, upon approval, begin work. On occasion, I will pro-rate certain projects, based on what the client might need and if it's an accelerated time table. 25% is due on all projects before work begins. I also charge a 15% late fee for any payments not received after 60 days.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I like to talk things out with my client, get a rundown of exactly what they are envisioning for their project, and then I will prepare several sketches to see if I'm headed in the right direction. From there, I'll work up a more polished piece based on whichever sketch design the client preferred and then polish until everyone is satisfied.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have a Bachelors degree in Visual Arts and a Masters degree in Illustration. My early career involved teaching art so I have an ability to explain ideas several different ways. This experience also gave me some insight to many different art making techniques which I can offer for different projects.
