About
I have over 17 years experiance in carpet installation. There is no carpet that I cant install or repair. Carpet changes the whole look of a house, its the next best thing to a new house. I love going into a job and seeing the before carpet and then the after carpet, it makes me happy and the customer even happier.

Quincy did a fabulous job stretching and fixing a few problem areas I had with my carpet. He was great to talk to and was very professional. He came on very short notice and got the job done quickly. He was very fair with his price. I highly recommend Quincy for all your carpet needs

Quincy was great. He really knows what he is doing and was a pleasure to have in our home to fix our carpet (it had some bubbles in it and the tack strips needed to be nailed down in some places). Quincy was easy to chat with, because, let's face it, sometimes it's awkward having some random person in your home fixing things. But, he wasn't too bad.

I wanted to have a room recarpeted - with new carpet I had pulled out of another room. Quincy called me the same day I did a thumbtack request, abd he came by to give me an estimate a few days later. During the estimate he gave us tips on how to get the wrinkles out of the carpet we planned to install (since it was rolled up in our basement for the last few years). The install was quick - under 2 hours I think. They had to do a lot of power stretching anyway (I learned a lesson on how not to store carpet). Quincy used some of the leftover (new) carpet that wasn't needed in the bedroom and patched a big section in my walk through closet. I didn't know if I had enough- so I'm glad he made it work. They put down new tack strips in the doorways and made the entrances to our bathroom ready for when we lay tile. the New, clean carpet looks so good! And he put up with our cat and dog that were curious about everything. Quincy and the other installer were really nice, respectful, and answered all my questions. Our neighbors found out we had carpet guys coming over, they said they needed carpet stretched in a few rooms and a hallway at their place, so after our job they stopped over there too. Nice guys. Good price.

Quincy came the same day I called him and had the job done quickly and very well. His price was very reasonable. I would recommend him to anyone needing carpet installed or repaired.
Carpet Repair or Partial Replacement

FAQs

  • What types of customers have you worked with?

Most of my work is residential homes (new construction and remodel), I do a lot of repair work and restretchs. I have done many commercial jobs (school districts, office buildings, movie theaters, bowling alleys...), anything with carpet is my specialty, I've even made some pretty cool cat posts:)

  • What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project?

Carpet Stretching, Whether it's coming up by itself or you pull it up to get it out of the way while remodeling, you'll want to reinstall carpeting quickly. A few special tools are required. First, a power stretcher is needed for a bulk of the work. Then a smaller stretcher (a knee kicker) is called upon for the tight corners. You'll also want a stapler for padding (which probably need to be re-purchased) as well as a utility knife (a carpet cutter) to create seams. As you can see, a lot of things have to be rented before you even get to the work, which is often hard on the knees (you'll want pads) and can cause a crick in your back with all the bending. So by the time you add up the costs to your budget and body, it may be just as economical to hire a contractor. They cost about $100 and can finish carpet restretching in no time. Plus it's specialized work, and often, amateurs make visible mistakes (broken seams) or cause additional harm to the fabric itself (unraveled fibers). So to avoid the extra expense of replacement or repairs, it's smart to get it done right the first time: hire a professional.
