Hi, I’m Daniel Aquino! I am a current photography major at BYU. I’ve been shooting weddings and family photos since 2019. I am training in all styles of photography, but I tend to prefer portraiture photography. I am from Oklahoma City, OK. I moved to Utah four years ago and will never move out! I love sports, travel and I love spending time with my family. I shoot with two professional cameras (Sony A7R Mark IV and Sony A7 Mark III); both were awarded cameras of the year when released.

Danny, was great! He took control and gave great direction/suggestions when he needed to, but also did a great job at listening to what we wanted and bringing our overall vision to reality. Some of our family members are primarily Spanish speakers and it was good to have someone that could speak to them in their preferred language as well. He was very well prepared and video chatted with us before our scheduled photos to get to know us a little more and go over what ideas we and he had, which made things a lot easier the day of. Daniel's work is AMAZING! His eye for detail is like no other, he really takes the time to understand the look and feel that you are going for with your shoot. I've booked with Daniel several times. I recently booked a Maturnity shoot session and had so much fun working with Daniel. He was very patient and gave excellent direction to ensure that he got images that I would love. He's extremely professional and I had a great experience. I always get so many compliments on my photos.

We have had three different photo sessions with akiidan photos so far. We have loved every session so far! Daniel is very professional, our first shoot had some weather issues which was totally out of his control and he more than made up for it!

What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I like to meet with my customers in person before the event whenever possible. If a in-person meeting is not possible then a video chat meeting would take place. This way I can connect with each customer and make sure I get all the details correct.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have personal experience of over 100 hours of photography and photo editing. I have photographed over 12 weddings as of August 2020. I have weekly portrait session year round. I am competent in Adobe Lightroom and Adobe Photoshop.
How did you get started doing this type of work?
I began my photography hobby May 2019 and gained a lot of experience from landscape photography and began doing events, weddings and portraits in August of 2019
