- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Private Lessons typically range from $20-30 per hour depending on how far I have to travel. Online lessons are $20 per hour; these lessons are very convenient because no one has to travel.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I spend the first few minutes of the first lesson to get an understanding where the student is at in their understanding of their course material. I will also spend some time learning what teaching style is most beneficial for the student's learning style. I try to not waste any time because each second is valuable. I want to make sure each student feels comfortable to give honest answers without the fear of being wrong.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have a Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering and a minor in mathematics from Brigham Young University. While in high school I worked at Salt Lake Community College private tutoring students in various math classes through a program called Focused Tutoring.
