Sorry this pro can’t do your job, but we know other pros who can.
Introduction: Family law is tricky. Many lawyers or document preparation services make it sound like it's a cookie cutter practice area, but we don't treat our clients that way. We pride ourselves on creating solutions and options where other lawyers just do not see them. We hand-craft our documents so that the nuances of our argument are placed in the light most favorable to our client. Our in-house mantra is "Our Expectations and Our Clients Expectations Must Always Align." This means we know exactly what our clients want at all times, and they know what we are doing and why at all times. The clients. Making them feel better about a difficult situation is the ONLY reason to do this kind of work. If lawyers are doing it as an ego trip, the whole thing will be an expensive mess.

Stacy Roberts @ Long Okura was a tremendous help with our divorce mediation. She was very knowledgable and provided invaluable legal advice and options to assist us in resolving previous "sticking points" or disagreements in our divorce terms. We had initially set out to handle our divorce on our own but became overwhelmed with the process and it stalled out for nearly a year. Thanks to Stacy, we completed mediation and she filed all required documents within a week. It was surprisingly affordable and offered the peace of mind that it was done correctly. We were able to come to a fair resolution that both parties are satisfied with.

FAQs

  • What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

Hire someone who you feel comfortable with. Family law is emotional and you share a lot of your life with your lawyer during the case. If you feel judgment or disapproval from your attorney, or if they won't get back to you with answers to your questions, find someone else.

  • What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project?

Clients should have a good sense of what is really important to them. They should have questions that focus on these important issues. Some clients spend a lot of time tell the history of the marriage, or the history of the bad business relationship, and they forget to focus on their future goals, what they want to come from the litigation, and what they consider to be the most important questions to ask the attorney- the questions they lose sleep over.
