The owner of Olympus Air arrived promptly and immediately got to work analyzing in detail the issues of my unit. This was the second company I called for a bid and to my dismay, the first company had completely over reached in their estimate. At first, I was uneasy in trusting that the work the initial company stated needed to be done was bull, but Julian, the owner, walked me through step by step what was wrong and needed work, and then pointed out the additional work the other company said needed to be done and why it wasn't necessary. I can say this with full certainty because now my unit runs better than before! Fingers crossed for a retainer deal in the near future!

Julian has earned me as a customer because of the experiences described below. I highly recommend him!! ::Context: Julian helped with my AC unit when I had my house's electrical updated in the winter (he was chosen by my electricians). When the weather turned warm, I needed my AC to start cooling the upstairs, it didn't take. Julian called me after hours and walked through 20 mins of trouble shooting to locate the problem (mis-labeled external breaker based on the wires running to the panel) -- presto, problem fixed and it wasn't even his to deal with! I called Julian to come out to do the tune-up because I was so impressed. ::Communication & Responsiveness: responded within 20 mins to my text at 7pm! Can handle text for communication (which I prefer to calls). He has excellent interpersonal skills and I'd be happy having him work at my house without me there. ::Scheduling: I gave Julian 2 times I could pop away from work for the AC tune-up, and he confirmed. No 6-hour window! Whichever company can master more accurate scheduling will win the service war for working customers ;) ::Excellent Memory: it had been 5 months since he was last at my house, and had served hundreds of houses in between, but Julian remembered the layout of my house and how you have to walk the long way around from the AC (side yard) to the breaker panel (back yard). ::Expertise: Julian has always worked for other HVAC companies for years before starting his own (& he's done solar!). When we were talking on the phone as I looked at the external breaker panel, he knew exactly what to look for. When he heard me struggling to get the front panel off the breaker box, he told me, "lift it up and then pull from the bottom," even though I didn't say anything (how did he know! ;) ::Teaching: I ask a million questions of professionals and Julian was happy to share his knowledge. He taught what to look for in AC performance, how to care for the AC unit, best practices for my filter type, etc. He noted that how far my lines had to run around the house is inefficient and what to do when this AC finally breaks down. I also learned about the different kinds of coolant (old one my AC runs on is being phased out / not produced). He told me what to look for in a company's service when I have my house's vents cleared out (should be done every 7 years). ::AC Tune-Up: Julian carefully hosed off the AC housing, checked the filter and furnace system in my crawlspace, checked the fluid levels and didn't just tell me what they were, but what they meant. He was meticulous and exact in all of the steps. ::Pricing: Julian's prices were competitive with the other quotes I'd received for an AC tune up, and his skills described ^ put him a head over others.

Julian (owner of Olympus Air) is the best contractor/repair guy we have ever dealt with for anything! Our A/C wasn't working well so we had a company come in and take a look. The estimate was outrageous and we were beside ourselves. We knew we needed a second opinion and asked around for referrals. Someone told us about their experience with Olympus Air and how much pride Julian takes in his business. We are so incredibly glad we called him! Not only did his price come in much lower than the other company, but he took the time to educate us on the issue so we could properly, and more confidently, decide which route to take (repair or replace). I'll be honest and let you know there were a couple of snags along the way, but they were in no way Julian's fault. The company that originally installed our central air cut every corner possible. Julian did such a thorough job that he found the issues for us and repaired them properly. Each time, he made sure to explain why it was an issue and/or how things became damaged. He took the time to ensure we understood what he was talking about instead of throwing out a bunch of expert jargon. It was so refreshing to find someone that we both feel we can truly trust, someone that takes pride in being good at what he does and building a name for himself that way. I honestly didn't think anyone like this existed anymore. We will definitely call him for all of our HVAC issues from now on. I've been raving about him to my friends, coworkers and family. They are also asking for his number for when they need repairs. Even my dad who did some of this stuff before he retired! If you're reading this review and trying to figure out what company to go with, choose Olympus Air. I'm positive you'll be just as happy as we are and walk away feeling lucky that he's the guy you chose to call!
