I had timberworx and cedar valley tree service remove one of my backyard trees and trim prune, and shape another one. When they came to give us a bid they were right on time, pleasant (even though it was at the end of a very hot day) and reasonably priced. We hired them on the spot and made an appointment for the work to be done. On that day they showed up early and were efficient and capable. I was especially impressed with Ethen who willingly answered all my questions about other trees and shrubs in my yard and gave me valuable information about caring for them. After the tree was out, I was a little concerned because apparently the stump grinder had broken down on another job and caused some downtime but they were talking about renting one so the job would be done that day when it showed up and they were able to finish. I was impressed that they would go to those lengths to get my job completed. Ethen even came back a couple of days later and restacked my woodpile. I would definitely hire them again. (And I've got Ethen on speed dial)
Mark was prompt, informative and very affordable. We will definitely work with Shrub Care Co again!
Marcus helped me with my annual "fall cleanup" of the yard. I have a quarter acre lot with about 50% of that bordered with flower beds and shrubs. It involved lots of weeding in rocky flower beds, shrub trimming, and removal of a couple of small trees. He really transformed the yard and left little to no debris. I left a lot of the specifics how things should look up to him and was pleased with how it turned out. The price was fair, and the day of service, I was surprised that he and his crew were able was able to finish everything so quickly. I had definitely expected it to take longer. I am seriously considering having Marcus come back on a recurring basis so that things look this good all the time.
I was very happy that Joel and his wife were able to clean up, plant, and lay down mulch on a very short notice. I didn't know the difference between weeds and plants, shrubs and vines, and he was able to teach me while making my backyard look great. I hope to have them back every summer!
They did a great job with the two trees we had them prune. We would definitely hire them again.
They never showed up. Very disappointed. I will be hiring someone else.
I got 4 different estimates, and prices were pretty similar. The reason I went with TPM was communication. While others were terse, hard to understand, or slow to reply, Tyler was friendly, quick to respond, and showed he had a good grasp on what I wanted. The job was pretty basic. I had 6 shrubs that had grown wild that I just wanted GONE! Three were in a small strip next to the house intermingled with a nest of Iris roots. Tyler and his helper got the whole mess cleared out, smoothed over, and sprayed to prevent new growth. He had estimated 3-5 hours, depending on how difficult one particularly junglesque shrub turned out to be. It took the full 5 hours. I now have 2 beautifully cleared spots in my front yard, perfectly ready for whatever I decide to plant there in the Fall. Tyler and his helper were on-time and courteous. I will definitely recommend them and would hire them again.
Eddie started the project Monday 10/17..took two full days; replacing old sod in front yard and parkway.Replaced side parkway sod with 2"-4" river rock multi colored. Prepared ground with weed barrier. modified existing sprinkler system by installing drip line and capping off old sprinkler heads, to allow for evergreen shrubs to planted among the river rock.He checked existing sprinkler heads for max coverage on new sod. He hauled away old sod and cleaned up the area when finished. His price was reasonable as I checked with two other landscapers for competitive bids. I have no complaints or improvements about or above the work he did. I would use him again when another landscape came up.
Kyle has made my yard fabulous since 2008. He was recommended to me originally to do some drainage work. He put in French drains and cleared my flooding patio problem. He then redid my irrigation so everything finally had the proper amount of water and my windows stopped being watered. Within a year or two I just let him have free run of my yard. I told him the types of bushes, flowers and colors I like. I don't need to supervise him. He has terrific taste and has made a mediocre yard into one people drive by and compliment. More importantly, I love to arrive home and see my yard and hangout in my beautiful back yard. He has done hardscape for me as well. Redoing my stone path, stone stairs, and repairing my sinking side paver/sand terrace. He has built an iron trellis around a tricky window. As he has gotten to know me, he has been able to make suggestions and add decorative touches that fit my yard and my personality. He calls or texts if he cannot show up when expected. He is a great communicator, listener, and creator. He knows plants, irrigation, drainage, design, and people. He can even stay in a budget if you give him one. He is a delight to be around as well. I highly recommend Kyle Wilson.

We loved Pebble Creek Design! They are the best in the Salt Lake area. We had a large back yard area but the prior owners had left it practically unusable. I told Pebble Creek that I wanted a basketball court and a flat grassy area for the kids to play soccer but I left all of the design and landscaping up to them. The design and implementation were awesome. We got a basketball court and a soccer area, but also an in-ground trampoline, a swingset area, a custom stone patio, a fire-pit area and a sledding hill for winter. All of these items are perfectly situated on multiple tiers in our back yard among rock retaining walls and planting areas. To top it all off, the entire project came in on-time and on-budget. Our back yard is now the place where all of the cousins and neighborhood kids come to play.
Mike is fantastic! I visited several nurseries before deciding to go with Mike. He even met us at several job sites to assess the quality of his trees and work. His tree prices were very competitive and his labor was almost 25% of what most others charge to plant. We planted nearly sixty trees so all of the tree platings could have really added up if it were the standard 30-50% cost of tree planting fee per tree that many others charge. Because Mike charges per planting and not a percentage of tree he saved us a lot of money. I'm very picky and after they had all been planted, he even willingly moved several of them for me to ensure they they were just they way I wanted them. We purchased Blue Spruce, Concolor Firs, Autumn Blaze Maples, And Aspen. We have a four acre yard so we wanted it to look like a natural park and selected 7' - 15' trees. Mike came and did ground water tests for us to ensure that the trees that we had selected would do well in our soil. He is honest and is extremely personable. We plan to buy many more from him over the years.
