What do you love about your job?
I love helping people tell their stories. Using film and video to help our clients tell their story is always a fun and creative challenge. I find great satisfaction in helping businesses figure out who their audience are and what message they want to deliver. We come up with creative concepts and produce a high-quality television commercial or video that does the job.
What or who inspired you to start your own business?
I started this business right after I graduated from college. With my broadcast journalism degree in hand, I was surprised that ESPN didn't want to immediately hire me to be the lead anchor on Sports Center. While looking at several low-paying and entry-level jobs, I had an opportunity with a relative to produce a video for his company.
After completing that first project, a little light went on in my head, and I decided to start a production company making similar videos and television ads for businesses. We've been doing it for over 20 years and have built up a great client list and a good reputation. Sometimes it doesn't seem fair that I get paid for having fun and doing what I love.
Describe your most memorable project.
We have produced many fun and interesting projects over the years. One of the most interesting was a documentary called Sea Trek. It told the story of the journeys that European immigrants took as they sailed to America on tall ships in the late 1800s. For two months, we were on tall ships as they sailed from port to port in Europe. We across the Atlantic to Bermuda, then up to New York City.
