My son just turned 6 when he started Cello with Kaitlin. Its been almost 1 year exactly and he has blossomed so much more than I would have expected for his age. Kaitlin is patient and kind and adjusts for his age. We are lucky to of found her.

Kaitlin is patient, listens, demonstrates, and watches so she knows how to best respond and instruct when we are in a lesson or when I ask questions. She sees things, even the littlest tips, that help me develop my skill with the Cello. She provides practicing tips, teaching me how to read music, and she is wonderful at motivating and encouraging me as we go. She is an expert in her knowledge and skills, she plays beautifully. I hope to play even a small fraction as well as she does some day. I learn more and more new skills with each new lesson. She goes the extra step and sends lesson plans, you tubes, examples of other cello players in various concerts, and recommends listen and reading topics to help expand our knowledge and practice. Oh, and did I forget to say, I live many miles away so she makes all this work with our Zoom lessons. Highly Recommend!!!! I am jealous of those who get to take her lessons in person.

Kaitlin Booth is an excellent teacher overall. She is highly educated in cello performance and plays beautifully. You can always be sure to get great tips from her on how to practice better at your own level. The good thing is she starts where you are at--No matter how old or young or how long you've played the cello. The best teachers who know their stuff will be able to explain it easily to a child. The down side is she can talk a lot if you have questions. Note the time that it may take from each lesson. Her pricing is fair considering that intermediate or advanced students wanting to learn the cello can find some good technique from her. I consider myself to be advanced and find her teaching well worth it.She'll teach you more than just rhythm or how to get a better tone. She can help you be more confident in yourself, how to prioritize what matters most, and how to accomplish your goals as a cellist. The atmosphere there is welcoming and cheerful. Her place is free of distractions and kept clean. (This allowed me to focus during the lesson.) One thing I wish she could do more is play with me so I can synchronize better with her.The last thing to consider is her own opinion on specific matters. "Take it with a grain of salt" she says. For some things regarding cello, teachers may have a different opinion in many cases. Bow hold, for example, can be taught differently based on the wide range of teachers and their experience. That being said, I believe she would correct you if you did it wrong. She will help you along the way. I would recommend her as a highly qualified and professional teacher.Great Job, Kaitlin. Keep up the great work!~Tiffany

Kaitlin is such an attentive cello teacher. She meets me where my skills are and helps me build from there. She encourages me to make music, not just play notes. I highly recommend her as a teacher.

We have had nothing but positive experiences over the last 2 years of working with Kaitlin! She is always positive and encouraging. She works hard to provide amazing opportunities for her students with recitals, master classes, summer practice challenges (including prizes!) and informing them about other opportunities such as community orchestras. Highly recommended!

FAQs
What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
We charge a flat monthly rate for lessons. In other words, tuition for our studio is not prorated!
The pricing breakdown by lesson length is as follows:
- 30-minute lessons: $150 per month
- 45-minute lessons: $200 per month
- 60-minute lessons: $250 per month
We do not offer any discounts. There are no additional fees associated with taking lessons.
Lessons are offered once per week, or 4-5 times per month.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
In the first lesson, we always like to discuss the student's goals and see what they're hoping to achieve on their instrument. One student might want to go the classical route and train to study music in college (woohoo!), while another student may have different goals as an adult learner or hobbyist. After we determine what your goals and ambitions are, we can tailor future lessons to meet your unique goals.
If you're interested in taking lessons with one of our professional teachers, we encourage you to reach out to us through Thumbtack, give us a call, and/or fill out a Contact Form on our website!
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Each of our teachers is a professional musician who brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to our studio! Our teachers hold university degrees in Music, Music Education, and/or Music Performance. This background ensures that each teacher has received comprehensive training in their respective instruments, as well as in the field of music as a whole. We take pride in the expertise and dedication of our teachers! To learn more, we encourage prospective clients to visit our website.
