In other other words, your costly, recurring, business processes will get done much better, much faster, and much cheaper in a relatively short amount of time. Checks and balances will ensure it stays that way going forward. Here is a very typical example of how I can do this for your company. We can create a plan that meets the unique needs of your company, but this should at least give you an idea. During months one and two, I learn as I manage two departments and become familiar with the existing processes and responsibilities within those departments as I perform or assist in everyday responsibilities within these departments. During months three and four, I develop and streamline the processes so that the departments can run much more effectively and efficiently. During months five and six, I ensure future consistency of these processes as I create detailed manuals and checklists to further ensure all work is performed accurately and efficiently going forward. These manuals and checklists will offer step-by-step instructions so that almost any worker with minimal to no experience and education can perform them accurately. During these months, I can also interview and hire an inexpensive worker to perform the work going forward. During month seven, I train the new employee, hands-on, to perform these processes per the step-by-step manuals. During month eight, the new employee takes ownership of the departments. I become a resource to the new employee as needed. Round Two For months one to six, repeat the above with two new departments. During month seven, by this time the worker that was hired in the first round will have progressed along the learning curve of his or her existing responsibilities. Depending on the workload of that employee now take on, I can train that employee to take on these departments as well. Now that these departments are running efficiently and accurately with very minimal supervision, I can create a schedule and manual for the supervisor to follow up with the expectations in place.
