- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
What interested me about accounting was the passionate and informative conversation I had with a CPA when I was 14 years old. I was sold on accounting in 10 minutes (or less). My love of numbers and puzzles (accounting is actually a lot of piecing the puzzle together) is what helped me decide that it was the right profession for me. How did I get started? I needed to affirm that I loved accounting so I started taking accounting and business classes in high school. Not only did I love what I was learning, I excelled at it. The decision to be an accountant had been confirmed. After I graduated high school, I went into the military and shortly after became an accountant. I got my undergraduate in business accounting & became a CPA in 2010.
