FAQs
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
I have been artistically inclined since I learned to hold a pencil. I had a natural talent for drawing and painting, but I knew that the term 'starving artist' exists for a reason. With that in mind, I decided to channel my creativity into graphic design when I went to college and found that it came just as naturally to me. I fell in love with design and have made it my career.
- What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project?
I don't just 'make things pretty.' There is so much more to design than just making something aesthetically pleasing. A lot of thought and consideration goes into every facet of designing a piece; every choice is important. Colors evoke psychological responses, a typeface can manipulate emotions, layout decides the way the viewer interacts with the piece. Every choice is carefully made in order to design not only the aesthetics of the end product, but the the experience the viewer has when they engage with it as well.
