Introduction: This style was founded by Ken Duncan. Pyung Sah Nimm Duncan has received recognition throughout the world of his skills and martial art abilities. He was one of the first Americans to be taught Kuk-Sool-Won and the person responsible for bringing Kuk Sool Won to the United States along with Grand Master In-Hyuk-Su. Pyung Sah-Nimm Ken Duncan has been featured in many Martial Art magazines and has appeared in movies and instructional videos.
In the early 90's, PSN: Ken Duncan and KJN: Terry Lee Ryan (MA-Resume) collaborated , defining and carrying on the Open Palm System (PYUNG SOO DO) martial art style. Kwan Ja Nimm Terry Lee Ryan has studied martial arts since 1981. He holds black belts in Kuk-Sool-Won, Tae-Kwon-Do, Open Palm System, and Hap-Ki-Do he has also studied Judo, Pressure Point Fighting, Shoalin Kung-Fu, Chi Kung and Tai-Chi.
KJN:Terry Lee now instructs the Open Palm System Martial Arts. Instructors under the school include Kyo-Sah-Nimm-Nimm Jeff Henderson, who attained his Black Belt in OPS in 1997. Sah-Ba-Nimm Leon Molinario, who also holds a Black Belt in HapKiDo and Cho-Kyo Nimm Ryan Rodriques, who also holds a Black Belt in Kuk-Sool-Won.
The Open Palm System school has been moving in a positive direction for many years now and of course would not be where its at without the continual support of all the students and parents.
