Thumbtack charges Pros for each contact, whether we are eventually hired or not. Please keep that in mind when negotiating and messaging on Thumbtack! MOVING/RELOCATION: Our hourly rate for moving includes the moving truck, at least a 2-man crew, multiple dollies, protective blankets/shrink-wrap, wrapping + disassembly/reassembly! We can chat on Thumbtack but it is usually easiest to discuss the details of a move over the phone. The following information is necessary to provide a proper quote: - Two street addresses (or nearby intersections) - Details on stairs/elevators involved - Details on distance between the doors and truck - from front door to freight elevator or front door to truck, etc. - List of furniture and items to be moved - Count of boxes/bins to be moved - Will anything need to be disassembled/reassembled? - Will you need items packed into boxes or will they be packed upon our arrival? CLEANING: It always helps us to know the following details about your home: - Numbers of bedrooms and bathrooms? - Square footage? - Type of home? (townhome/condo/apt/house) - Number of stories? - Will the interior fridge and interior oven need to be cleaned? CARPET CLEANING: Please provide info on the following: - Number of bedrooms to be cleaned? - Number of common rooms to be cleaned? - Number of hallways/foyers/landings to be cleaned? - Number of stairwells to be cleaned? - Are there deep stains to be removed? Can pictures be provided?

Communication is key. Please call anytime. If I don't answer, leave a voicemail or send a text and I will get back to you. The price that you are initially quoted via Thumbtack messenger is our standard pricing and the final quote should not differ greatly. All questions in the above section titled "What should the customer know about your pricing," are essential in the process for working together. Each service comes with its own nuances and unique challenges. Therefore, we collect all necessary data from prospective customers, share all necessary info on our services, and then send a contract once terms are agreed upon. Please bare with us, the questions are necessary to ensure you are given the best possible price!
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Any employee/contractor hired for any service we provide is screened and interviewed to ensure he/she possesses the necessary skills, professionalism, and attitude to represent the Checkmate brand. Training is provided first through a certified, online course that must be passed before moving to on-the-job training. Newly hired staffers are paired with lighter, less complex jobs to ensure they can perform the rigorous tasks of the routine workload.
