I enjoy taking the time to get to know the people that I am working with, and find that understanding how the photographs will be used really helps create a beautiful product. I use only natural light in all of my images and have experience photographing subjects all over the world in a huge range of conditions. I have photographed people in rainforests, on beaches, underwater, standing in busy city streets, and under a night sky - and I always want to try something new. I also only use the highest quality portrait equipment, which creates the beautiful effects and vivid colors you can see in my example photos; none of those images are altered! Whether you'd like candid engagement photos, high-speed sports photos, or just a cute portrait of your dog, I'd love to help you create that image - and I have done it before! I will work tirelessly to understand your goals and specific situation, from showing up early and scouting potential shoot locations to working all day to get you the final photographs within a day of shooting them. To me, taking photographs is a way to tell a story. Whether that story is about people celebrating a happy moment or wildlife facing tough conservation challenges, photography can give it life. Creating and sharing these stories always makes me so excited I can barely wait to run home and grab my computer to pull up a set of images. I use this idea in my own work as an ecologist, using powerful images of cultures, animals, and landscapes from around the world to spark a sense of excitement or passion in my audience.
