FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
For online lessons, I charge $30 for 30 minutes, $40 for 45 minutes, and $50 for 60 minutes. Pricing is non-negotiable and must be paid on the day of the lesson or in advance, via paypal or venmo.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Typically, students or parents of students will reach out via email, text, or phone call and we will briefly discuss their goals in pursuing music lessons. If we decide that I can help the student achieve those results, we will schedule the first lesson and go from there!
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I recently graduated from the University of Maryland School of Music, located in College Park, Maryland, where I received a Bachelors of Music in Jazz Studies. My degree is a performance degree, and my principal instrument is the guitar, though I have experience with performing and teaching the bass and piano as well. In addition to my work as a performer and teacher, I have been writing music for close to a decade, and took many composition courses in college, including Counterpoint, Orchestration, and Schenkerian Analysis. Since graduating, I have begun a career as a composer as well, having written the soundtrack to a short documentary film called The Garcia Family, and to a videogame called Fureality, which recently placed highly in a game making competition.
