- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Full day wedding coverage begins at $4,500. We hope you'll reach out if you'd like to chat about your wedding, but please understand that due to our high demand, we're not able to offer any discounts or work with couples well below our rates. Thanks for understanding! Full portrait photography sessions begin at $600. Surprise Proposal coverage begins at $450. Full pricing information is available on the homepage of our website! - What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
When you reach out to us about your wedding, you can expect us to answer any questions you have right away to make sure that we're a good fit for your style and budget. Then, we'll set up a one-hour meeting in person or over video chat where the four of us can get to know each other better, see how we can best serve you, and show you what a wedding experience looks like with us! If that meeting goes well and you’d like to move forward with us as your wedding photographers, we ask for a signed contract and 50% retainer to secure your wedding date. Then, we help you build your own custom wedding day timeline and begin planning your engagement session as we await your wedding day! When you book us for your engagement session (whether you’re one of our wedding couples or not), we guide you through the entire process from start-to-finish with our “Engagement Session Style Guide”, a small magazine that we've designed and filled with years of portrait photography experience. It's all aimed at helping you prepare for your session so you and your special someone get the most out of your photos. It helps you think through everything from location to date and time, and especially outfit choice! After your wedding or engagement session, you can expect a sneak-peek of your photos on our social media within one week, a more robust blog post on our website within two weeks with all our favorite images from our time together, followed by your full gallery of images delivered right to your inbox four weeks after your engagement session or six weeks after your wedding day! You get full rights to the digital images, as well as the opportunity to purchase professional prints and wall art directly through your gallery.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Although Hunter and Sarah have bachelor’s degrees in Biomedical Engineering and American Studies/Political Science (respectively), we are both self-taught photographers with more than a decade of photography experience between the two of us. We booked our first wedding in 2015, and have photographed more than 75 weddings since! We are and have been apprenticed under Charlottesville-based (world-renowned) wedding photographer Eric Kelley, whose style has greatly influenced ours.
