FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Pricing depends on the length and type of engagement.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I do a discovery session with all new clients with three components: 1. We start wit an exercise called the "Wheel of Life" where we explore eight aspects of your life and your satisfaction in each of them. 2. We identify and clarify your values so that we can ensure our coaching is focused on what is most important to you. 3. We articulate your goals for the coaching and set out a roadmap for our work together, ensuring we are checking in and updating these goals as needed.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
During my 10+ years forming and leading effective teams in diverse industries (human rights, advocacy, non-profits, for-profits, ed tech) and settings (Washington, DC, Rwanda, Burkina Faso, and most recently, Charlottesville), I found that my passion is grounded in helping others unlock their value. I love supporting my colleagues and friends in figuring out what’s going on in their lives, what they really want, and then working with them to go after it. It’s where I get my mojo, and it’s where I am most effective. Most recently, I spent five years working for an assessment and professional development company focused on enhancing the effectiveness of interactions. Our work focused on the interactions taking place between children and teachers in the classroom, but easily translated to the workplace. I had the opportunity to bring those effective interactions to life on our marketing, product management, and community teams and practice what we preached. I became an expert on identifying effective and ineffective performance, giving specific and actionable feedback - including developing customized 360 degree feedback reviews - and providing professional opportunities so that my staff could learn and thrive. When I trained with the Coaches Training Institute (CTI), I honed my practice and put some science behind the work I do in helping others achieve their goals. This rigorous program has helped me flex and tone my coaching muscle while providing a strong framework that I’ve now made my own. I’m also a graduate of Colgate University and Georgetown University’s McDonough School of Business and School of Foreign Service. I’ve been building and leading projects, teams, communities, and movements since 2004, and I’ve worked in diverse settings including government institutions, non-profits, businesses, consultancies, technology companies, and global development organizations. No matter the setting or the job, I’ve found that I’m most passionate and effective when figuring out how to help others grow and thrive.
