Bryson & the team of individuals (Joshua & Miguel) he had to do my project were awesome. They performed a regrading/resloping of my backyard. Now, I will have a whole lot more useable space to enjoy in my backyard this upcoming summer and in the future. I want to say THANK YOU to them all for their hard work.

I had a great experience with Rain Drains. We needed our yard graded after having a deck removed and seeing how messed up the land was. They were really communicative, showed up on time, and were very responsive to our needs. Would highly recommend.

Had an amazing experience with Bryson and Matt. They came back multiple times to ensure the job was done to perfection. They were very kind and took the extra time to work through the details. Even when it was discovered that the problem was bigger than they had originally anticipated, they did not change the price and still work through to make sure the problem was solved. I’m very happy with their service and fully recommend them.

Rain Drains is a fairly new company to the area. I had seen their ads along the road about them doing drainage work. I had contacted them on December 12, 2025, to see if they could come out and inspect the yard. Bryson came out on December 14, 2025, to do the inspection and get an estimate of costs for me.Background: There are several areas in the yard that would flood after any type of rain that we would have. It's my understanding now that before I purchased the property, some others around me had basically graded their yards to let the water flow into what is now my yard. From the beginning, Bryson was very up front about pricing. The cost is based on how long the lines would be, which makes sense to me. I had the opportunity to choose from several piping options. I decided to go with the best option, as it included a lifetime warranty after looking at the pricing for all three options. It was around what I would have expected since the yard is pretty big. After approving the job, it was scheduled to begin around December 27, 2025, with an expected time frame of two days to complete it.They do their financing options through Wisetack and they add a transaction fee of 3.9%. Interest rates are different based on how long you want to finance the project. The interest rate goes up as the duration gets longer. Rain Drains does require a 50% payment before the work starts and then the rest would be afterwards.A few days after the approval, I got a message that they can start the process earlier, and I was good with that. The sooner the better in my mind given the weather at the time. The date was changed to December 22, 2025.Although Bryson wasn't there that day during the work, the project manager was there that day, along with the ones doing the work to get the drainage put together. Since I work from home, I was able to check on the progress throughout the day and ask any questions as the process went along. Instead of the process taking two days, it was finished on the afternoon on December 22, 2025. Outflow pop ups were used instead of going through the curb itself due to the regulatory barriers by the local government. The other part of this was to have all the gutters from the house go through these drains as well. The following day, I got a call from Bryson to ask me about how things went with the installation. Everything went very well that day and didn't see any issues. I wasn't really able to test things out until January when we got a good rainfall. However, before that, I had messaged Bryson about one of the outflows was sinking. He said that is normal and would come out after a good rainfall to check the settling of it and get them to the level where it should be.The follow up occurred on January 19, 2026. This happened the day after we had a heavy rainfall. Before that meeting, I could see how much drier the yard looked and didn't have the "swimming pool" any longer. This is what I was looking for. Bryson did a look at everything on this follow up and was able to get the outflows settled back to the level where they should be. He also reinforced it with additional soil and such to keep it that way. As of the time of writing this review, I haven't had any issues with the outflows. He also had some grass seed and put it down in the bare areas of the yard too. I know once it gets warmer, we'll be able to get more grass out there too so that it can take in the moisture in the rest of the yard. He also gave me a tip that to leveling out the yard, make sure to get topsoil from a landscaper instead of a store. The ones we can get in the store tend to be a mix with mulch.Overall, this was an excellent experience from start to finish. The communication was there at all times during this project and afterwards as well. We talked about possible other areas in the future, and I will come back to them again if that need arises. If you have any drainage issues on your property, be sure to check out this great group at Rain Drains. They are available throughout the Hampton Roads area.
