I can't say enough great things about my experience with Roger as my chemistry tutor! Dr. Roger Frampton is an excellent teacher and tutor. I hired him after my son was not doing well with another tutor in high school pre-algebra. Not only did my son improve on his math skills but he passed his math SOL on the first try. Personally, I was super proud of my son because of his hard work. Dr. Frampton brought the best out of him. We’re forever grateful.

My daughter needed physics to graduate from college. She had never taken a physics class and high school and she was very nervous and anxious about this course. Working with Roger was a great experience for her. She also put in some of her own time and was able to maintain a C or higher in the class. Roger was great as a tutor he was very professional and punctual, and he worked well with my daughter. If your student is ready to work, I highly recommend Roger.

Dr. Frampton is one of the best professors I’ve ever met . His methods of explanation makes complex ideas seem so understandable. He also very funny and makes each lesson fun while learning. Something that I like is that he allows me to explain my thought process and if I don’t know something he will explain it right away but if I do know he will cheer me on and celebrate me, which makes me feel good! He’s also been filling in the gaps in places where I needed extra assistance, and I’m so glad I found him! I definitely recommend him to anyone who needs a tutor.

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Everyone pays the same - it's been $40 per hour since 2010, so as of Sept 1, 2021, I've decided to raise it to $50. Reduced rates for more than one person at a time (as long as they are covering identical material). People over the age of 85 get free tutoring......
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
There's a reason they contacted me, so I find out what they need right away. I make sure they are understanding what I try to explain to them. The only difference is, I back off on the humor until in my judgment they've been around me long enough to appreciate it.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Well, a Ph.D. in Organic Chemistry, 25 years teaching Chemistry at Community College, and (so far) about 12 years one-on-one tutoring in Math, Physics, Chemistry and Test Prep. (I also do English portions of the SAT, ACT, GMAT, etc.).
