- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I am a Master's of Science level Nutritional Consultant with extensive background and experience in Clinical Nutrition as well as Medical Herbalism attained from an accredited university, Maryland University of Integrative Health. I also have attained some coursework in Chiropractic Medicine and have a science degree from Howard University.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
As a parent of twins diagnosed with Autism at the age of three, I decided to forgo medication and instead nourish them from the inside out with a special whole foods diet that allowed healing of the gut and thus many behavioral and cognitive symptoms associated with the disorder. Today, my boys are fully functional and excelling independently in school, church, and the community. It was not an easy road but well worth it. Today, I want to share to gifts of nutrition with others and help to empower them to take their wellness into their own hands and live fully with health and vitality.
- What types of customers have you worked with?
I've worked with clients who've experienced gastrointestinal disorder such as Ulcerative Colitis and gastric reflux, neurological disorders such as autism and ADHD, metabolic disorders such as diabetes, alcoholism, liver detoxification, depression, anxiety, obesity, adrenal fatigue due to exhaustion from work or from being a caretaker etc.
