About
Are you trying to detox, lose weight, or eat properly for diabetes or high blood pressure? Maybe your loved one has been newly diagnosed with allergies, food sensitivities, autism or ADHD and you've heard there are proper ways of eating that support optimal cognitive, behavioral, and digestive functioning. Well, I am here to help. I offer a combination of scientific, evidence-based, and traditional nutrition intervention information and counseling on everything from IBS to transitioning to a gluten free/casein free diet. Personalized functional nutrition therapy consultations serve adults with an emphasis in weight management, women, adrenal fatigue, eating disorders, gastrointestinal disorders, pre-diabetes/diabetes, pre-pregnancy, PCOS, cancer prevention and support, and ADHD/autism diet therapy. After an initial Intake consultation, you will be provided with a personalized nutrition plan as well as a list of referrals and resources to best serve your individual needs. Follow up appointments are to be scheduled no later than 2-3 weeks after our initial consultation to ensure the best nutritional support and results while working toward your goal. If you are ready to take the next step in creating a NEW YOU in 2017 please do not hesitate to contact me. I enjoy the idea of approaching nutrition and integrative health in a more whole body, holistic way that gets results. As a partner in wellness with you, we won't just focus on calorie counting but the whole you, with delicious whole foods that nurture your whole self. I approach nutrition in 3 ways: 1. Conventionally, using scientific, evidence based nutrition and plant-based therapy. 2. Functionally, which focuses on core imbalances, metabolic and biological symptoms associated with specific body systems. This gives us an individualized and personal picture of potential root causes of your nutritional symptoms. 3. Integratively, by peering into overall physical , social, emotional, and environmental health by tracking things like: physical activity, sleep, stress, social support, environment and family dynamics. These all play integral parts in nutrition and how we are able to process, digest, absorb, and metabolize and ultimately gain energy and nourishment from the foods we eat. This approach of, not only, food as medicine , but allowing our lives and experiences to also be healthy and life sustaining nourishment, is why I love what I do.

I thought that Lynise went above and beyond what I was expecting from my appointment! I was very nervous and embarrassed about seeing the help of a nutritionist for several different concerns. She was prompt and on time, profession, friendly, and very easy to talk to. Lynise eased all of my fears and apprehensions and was personable and kind. She asked many detailed questions and really listened to my responses. She gave me a lot of great information and also sent me some follow up information on several things we talked about at our session. She is enthusiastic and passionate about what she does and it shows in her work. I am planning on a follow up meeting in 4-5 weeks.

It is hard to find someone who is as knowledgeable about nutrition, how it may interact with certain medications, and the research behind it as Ms. Perry. She has been my nutritionist for several years since my diagnosis with Ulcerative Colitis. For the first few years I was on several medications and with Ms. Perry's guidance I am down to one prescribed medication. Nutrition is often times a large lifestyle change so the support and motivation she provides is necessary, not optional, to be successful. Ms. Perry is not only a true professional but she really cares about helping people become healthy and happy so that they can enjoy life.

I was having liver issues and other health problems, so she looked over my bloodwork and made a tea for me to improve my liver function. I have been feeling a lot healthier and more energized. My bloodwork levels have also improved. I will definitely continue going to her and recommend her to everyone I know! Thank you!
